This packaging project was completed for Nick’s Dog Treats and Coffee Brew of Augusta, Wisconsin. Nick, a young man with cerebral palsy, and his mother created the dog treat brand in 2018 to provide work opportunities and a sense of community for Nick and other disabled individuals. Beyond being staffed and operated by special needs individuals, Nick’s also works to be a resource for other families in their community.

Building upon their established branding, I designed a vibrant and playful coffee pouch, focusing on a design that is not only eye-catching, but one that also speaks to their values as a brand. I created an illustration that wraps around the bottom of the bag, featuring a diverse group of people and dogs enjoying coffee and dog treats (and even a nod to Nick, his mother, and their beloved family dog)! To help create a professional appearance but remain cost-effective, the bags were designed to be broad enough to be used for their entire coffee line and labeled as-needed for each coffee.
